What?

The Technology Advisor is an outside & inside direct sales consulting position. Technology Advisors with Reliable Solutions Group have a broad scope of services available to recommend, in the areas of Information Technology, Cloud Technology, and Telecommunications.


2 Week Sales & IT Training, Reliable Solutions Group commits to 1 week of IT Training & 1 week of Sales Training. Trainings will be conducted internally and geared specifically toward your success within Reliable.


Ongoing Sales & IT Training Support, Reliable Solutions Group commits to continuous Sales Training, as well as continuous training on the IT products & platforms that we sell and manage.


Potential to qualify for Partner-Sponsored Sales Trips.

The Technology Advisor’s responsibilities can be categorized in three phases:


  • Phase I: Scheduling Meetings. It is the Technology Advisor’s responsibility to contact business decision makers, mostly via the phone, but also via email, social media, and networking – for the purpose of scheduling a meeting to discuss Reliable’s services. Day to day, this job will require candidates to make 50-70 new cold calls a day in attempt to generate new business. Your target will be C-Level executives who make decisions regarding Information Technology.


  • Phase II: Audits, Reviews, Demos, Presentations. Some engagements include or require an audit of a client’s current technology by a Reliable engineer. Recommendations are prepared. Demos of suggested solutions may be necessary. Then presentations are made to key stakeholders. Technology Advisors assist in the design of solutions, with engineering and senior sales support.


  • Phase III: Converting Sales. Meetings with business decision makers must be converted into new client sales. The sales cycle varies depending on the overall complexity of the recommendation. Larger revenue sales might happen just as quick or quicker than smaller revenue sales; it all depends. Timelines for a sale can be two weeks to six months.


Where?

Technology Advisors work from the Reliable Solutions Group offices for the first year in the position. Lots of natural light is provided by floor to ceiling windows. The office includes a quaint deli and easy access to restaurants and major highways. Local travel in a 2-hour radius of the office is necessary to attend meetings.
